   We don't recommend you do this.
   
   Instead, start an account with the CodeRED website to modify your phone, email and text options. By creating an account you can also choose to receive only emergency and/or general notifications.
   
   For example, parking bans are general notifications; an impending tornado might trigger an emergency notification since lives could be at risk.
