Empt2025 Youth Soccer Program Information

Preschool Division
This introductory program teaches soccer skills in a fun and non-competitive environment. The program is designed to teach parents and children the fundamentals of the sport while building the participants' confidence. This cooperative program for children and an adult, is open to children and parents/guardians who are able to attend seven one-hour sessions together. Registration includes one parent/guardian and one child. Participants must be 4 by December 31, 2025.
Kindergarten, Boys Grades 1&2 and Girls Grades 1&2 Soccer
This is a fun instructional program run by the Parks & Recreation Department utilizing parent volunteers to teach the fundamentals of the game of soccer. Each registered participant will be placed on a team and will play in every game.
Parents of registered participants will be contacted by their child's coach after the coaches meeting, which will be held the week before the program begins. Coaches will receive their rosters and information on the season at the meeting. They will then email or call their players' parents to let them know what time and field the team will meet on the first day of the program on Saturday, September 6, 2025.

Dates: September 6 - October 18, 2025
Location: Sheldon Field (26 Old Ferry Rd, Northampton)
Time: 9:00 - 10:00 AM and/or 10:30 - 11:30 AM (times may vary each week)

Fee: $45.00 ($55.00 non-residents)
Financial Assistance is available to residents who qualify.
Volunteer Coaches Needed!
This program is dependent on finding volunteer coaches to run each team. If you are interested in coaching,

2025 Recreation Soccer Program Information

Join us this season as we partake in the Quabbin Valley Soccer League, where fun and good sportsmanship are the priorities! Players in this program will practice the fundamentals of soccer and play games against teams in different communities around Western Mass. There are typically three activities a week including games and practices. Each player will receive a jersey for the program.
Divisions
Girls Grades 3/4
Boys Grades 3/4
Girls Grades 5/6*
Boys Grades 5/6
*Please note that historically we have struggled to receive enough registrations to form a girls team in this division. Should that be the case this year, girls will have the opportunity to participate on a boys team, participating in the boys divison in the Quabbin League.
- Days & Times: Teams will typically meet three times a week - 1-2 weekday practices and 1-2 weekend games per week.
