FEMA Floodplain data are not suitable for Flood Elevation Certification. The FEMA Floodplain dataset was developed to cover a large area for general planning purposes only. Site specific elevations needed for Flood Elevation Certification can only be determined by a Professional Land Surveyor (PLS).
