Parks & Rec Soccer FALL 2022

Registration opens late May/early June

Kindergarten, Boys grades 1 & 2, Girls Grades 1 & 2

This is a fun, instructional program run by the Parks & Recreation Department utilizing parent volunteers to teach the fundamentals of the game of soccer. 

  • Each child will be placed on a team.
  • The program runs for 7 weeks.
  • If you are signed up, you will receive an email or call from a coach after the coaches meeting.

The coach’s all meet the week before the program to receive their rosters and information. They will then email or call their players to let you know what time and field your child meets on the first day, Saturday, September 11.

  • Dates: Begins September 10
  • Location: Sheldon Field (26 Old Ferry Rd, Northampton) 
  • Days: Saturdays
  • Time: Morning and early afternoon, one hour time slots starting at 9:00am
  • Schedule: The schedule will be sent and posted closer to the start date of the program
  • Fee: TBA, non-residents add $10
    • Residents have priority registration through August 15

Pre-K Division

For: Parent & Child (must be 4 by Dec. 31, 2022)
Dates: Begins September 10, 2022
Time: varies weekly either 9:00-10:00 am or 10:30-11:30 am
Fee: $TBA, Non-residents add $10, Includes a team t-shirt

This introductory program will teach soccer skills in a fun and non-competitive environment. The program is designed to teach parents and children the fundamentals while building the participants confidence. This cooperative program for children and an adult is open to children and parents/guardians who are able to attend seven one hour sessions together. Registration includes one parent/guardian and one child.

Recreation Soccer for grades 3-6

Players in this program will practice the fundamentals of soccer and will also get to play games against teams from the surrounding area. There are three activities a week including games and practices. Each player will receive socks and jersey for the program.

  • Divisions
    • Girls 3/4
    • Boys 3/4
    • Coed 5/6
  • Days and Times: Teams will meet three times a week. Games will take place both on Saturday Morning and on weeknights.
