The Northampton DHHS is proud to pair with other local health departments through the Public Health Excellence grant to provide these regional flu and COVID vaccine clinics.
Here's what we know so far about Fall 2023...
Flu vaccines will be available as usual, beginning in mid to late September. We plan to have flu vaccine clinics in the following locations.
Northampton Senior Center
Smith Vocational School (drive through)
Easthampton Fire Department (drive through)
Hatfield Senior Center
Hadley Senior Center
Plainfield Fire Department
Chester Town Hall
Amherst (locations TBD)
and possibly more to come!
This year's COVID vaccines will target the XBB.1.5 variant. Although we don't know any details for sure, they'll most likely be approved for all age groups in late September to early October. This will also be the first time that vaccines are not provided through the state of Massachusetts, and will instead be bought privately by the Department of Health and Human Services. Due to the complicated and uncertain nature of this, we may not have COVID vaccines available until mid to late October. Please be patient with us!
We will continue to provide all vaccines free of charge, but those with insurance will need to provide insurance details.
We will also still offer home vaccination visits for individuals who are fully homebound. Empty headingEmpty head
