Camp Hamp is a fast paced, diverse program is based in Northampton’s beautiful Look Park where participants are introduced to a combination of athletic, adventure, artistic and cooperative outdoor activities. The Director is responsible for planning, organizing and supervision of all major functions of the program. This includes organize and implement the daily summer camp schedule for 30 kids each session, supervise and support staff in program activities, and coordinate fun and engaging activities. The director should be an organized, creative, innovative individual. The program includes two field trips each week, to places like state parks, recreation areas & destinations, special events, crafts, swimming and more.
Program runs from June 28 - August 12, 8:30am-4:30pm. Director hours are 8:00am-4:45pm, Monday-Friday. Mandatory Orientation is held in June, dates TBA. Pre-Season & Postseason duties.
Rate of pay is $17.80/hour. No program July 4.
Minimum Qualifications: Must be 21 years of age. Equivalent of 3 full time seasons work experience in youth related recreation activities; or 3 years of college in a related field.
