During this class you will see Mars, the Moon, the Orion Nebula and other astronomical objects through a large telescope. This course will meet once a week, for four weeks, to ensure access to clear skies. No background knowledge necessary, but a curiosity for the night sky is a must. Dress warmly, this is an outside class!
If you have a participant under 18, the instructor will be in touch with you regarding participant expectations.** This class will be limited to a small number of participants. Everyone will need to wear masks, and follow recommendations for social distancing.
For: Ages 6 and older Days: Monday evenings * Times: 6:00pm-6:45pm Dates: January 4 - January 25 (four sessions) Fee: $45, non-residents add $10 ($20 discount per additional person per household under age 16) Location: Arcanum Field, North Maple Street (by pavilion)
*Monday Evenings* Classes are planned for Monday evenings, however it may change due to weather and viewing visibility. If Monday isn't the best possibility, the instructor will try the next consecutive weekday.
**Participants under 18 - The instructor will be in touch with you to go over expectations for the class. Children can take the class without a participating parent if they can meet the expectations, (ie Behavior etc.) Depending on the age of the Child participant, parents can wait in the parking lot or drop off as long as the instructor has emergency contact information.
