General Information

Metered Parking - Hours of Operation

The City’s parking meters and pay to park kiosks are in operation Monday through Saturday, 8am-6pm, except Sundays and holidays. Single-space parking meters and multi-space pay kiosks accept US coins, pay kiosks also accept credit and debit cards.  The ParkMobile payment app is also accepted.  You may pay to legally park for up to the maximum number of hours permitted in a particular zone. The maximum number of hours permitted on a particular metered street and in each municipal parking lot is shown on the meters and pay kiosks. If more time is needed beyond the maximum permitted in a particular area, long-term parking can be found in the E.J. Gare parking garage and long-term lots.

Metered parking on streets and municipal parking lots is free on Sundays and legal holidays - all other parking regulations remain in effect. It is important to note that this applies only to the day the actual holiday falls on, not to the day city offices may be closed in celebration of the holiday. For example, if Memorial Day is Saturday but offices are closed on Friday in recognition of the holiday, parking meters will be in operation on Friday but not Saturday, the day the actual holiday falls on. Holidays falling on Sunday are observed on Monday. Holidays falling on a Saturday are observed on Saturday.
