You are invited to join the City of Northampton Department of Public Works (DPW) and their consulting forester on a forest walk on water supply land to discuss upcoming projects. We will review maintenance plans for recently-logged areas near the Mountain Street Reservoir. We’ll also hike to a nearby stand of white pine trees to look at how DPW is addressing white pine health issues.
Attendees should wear sturdy shoes and be prepared to walk over uneven terrain. Bug spray is recommended.
No registration is required. For more information contact Johanna Stacy – Sr. Environmental Scientist with Northampton DPW at (413) 587-1376 or email@example.com.
