A Public Hearing will be held concerning the following items: 17.250, 17.251, 17.252

The Committee on Legislative Matters will hold a joint public hearing with the Planning Board regarding the following zoning ordinances:

17.250 An Ordinance to add a new Smart Growth Overlay District 

An Ordinance of the City of Northampton, Massachusetts, providing that the Code of Ordinances Chapter 350-20.0-20.19, City of Northampton, Massachusetts, be amended to add a new Smart Growth Overlay District consistent with MGL 40R. Amend existing sections as necessary to create clarity. 

17.251 An Ordinance to remove the Residential Incentive overlay from the Zoning Map 350-3.4

An Ordinance of the City of Northampton, Massachusetts, providing that the Code of Ordinances, City of Northampton, Massachusetts, be amended by removing the RI overlay from the map in 350-3.4 of said code; to be consistent with the text changes made to eliminate this overlay.

17.252 An Ordinance to clarify the definition of structure for compliance with setbacks in 350-2.1 of said code

An Ordinance of the City of Northampton, Massachusetts, providing that the Code of Ordinances, City of Northampton, Massachusetts, be amended by clarifying the definition of structure for compliance with setbacks in 350-2.1 of said code.
