Musante Beach

Thank you for making our 27th season a success. We plan to open for our 28th year on May 26, 2018. Mark your calendar.

Musante Beach is located at 85 Reservoir Road in Leeds, MA 01053. The season opens weekends starting Memorial Day weekend, and runs through the summer. Staff of trained certified lifeguards are on duty to ensure an enjoyable escape from the hot summer days.

  • It is open May 26th for weekends only through June 16th.
  • Beginning June 23rd the beach will be open seven days a week from    10:30 am - 6:30 pm weather and staff permitting.

Large Groups


Please contact the Aquatics Supervisor at 413-587-1040 in advance if your group has eight or more to ensure proper staffing levels.

Passes


Season passes for David B. Musante Beach are on sale at the Recreation Department and at the beach. These passes must be brought to the beach each time you visit. There will be an attendant on duty during all hours that the beach is open. Swimmers must have their passes checked and sign-in before entering the beach area.
A $5 replacement fee will be charged for lost tags.

* A family consists of two legally married adults and dependent children, or single parent with dependent children living in the same household. There is a limit of six members on the family pass.
* A caregiver may be included on a family pass, please indicate on the application.
* Aquatic and Family Center members receive a $5 discount on a season pass.

Beach Rules


  • Swim only when a lifeguard is on duty.
  • Obey lifeguard instructions at all times.
  • Please show your pass upon arrival.
  • Flotation devices are not allowed.
  • Alcoholic beverages are not allowed.
  • Glass containers are not allowed.
  • Children wearing diapers must wear swim diapers or reusable plastic diaper cover ( that gather at the legs.)
  • All children age 5 years and under must be supervised by an adult who is in the water.
  • Do not hang or play on ropes or handicap rails.
  • No diving in shallow water.
  • Smoking is not permitted.
  • No Dogs or pets are allowed.

Other Important Guidelines


  • For your safety, please do not feed any wild animals or birds.
  • Please do not drink the water.
  • Our lifeguards are on duty to respond to emergencies and enforce safety rules but parents are ultimately responsible for supervising their children.
The beach will be closed during full rainy days or in the event of thunder and/or lightning. Passes are non-refundable when weather and water conditions are out of our control.
