There are Commissioners to Qualify Public Officers in the City Clerk’s Office. This enables us to administer oaths of office to public officials. If you are chosen or appointed to an office and must take and subscribe to oaths of office under the Massachusetts Constitution, Amending Article 6, and Chapter 30 Section 12 of the MGL.
