WANTED: Rigid Plastic, Textiles, Bicycles & Household Goods

A special waste collection will be held from 9am -12pm on Sat, June 22 at Smith Vocational High School at 80 Locust Street. The event is free and open to the public. Sponsored by the Northampton Department of Public Works, in conjunction with the Board of Public Works’ Reuse Committee, the event can help liberate local homes and garages of unwanted material while conserving resources and reducing production of climate-changing gases. Storm Water Ad-Hoc Advisory Taskforce
The City of Northampton must upgrade and maintain its storm water and flood control systems to comply with federal regulations. The pending federal mandates are just the start of a much larger discussion of how the City will deal with a bevy of storm water and flood control projects that will need to be paid for over the next two decades.
